Fly ash
Fly ash is produced during the combustion of coal in power plants and combined heat and power plants, during the electrostatic or mechanical precipitation of dusty particles from waste gases.
Fly ash applications:
Cement and cementitious mixtures
Concrete mixtures and precast products
For concrete production, fly ash offers a number of benefits:
- lowers production costs
- improves the workability and tightness of the structure, increases the strength of concrete and increases resistance to chemical aggression
Fly ash is delivered in dry (tanker trucks and cement wagons) and wet form (tipper trucks).
